KATE LESSMAN

Think Big Media PR Founder, has 20 years of working in the outdoor, travel, lifestyle and non-profit industries. Prior to Think Big, Kate worked at Vail Resorts, where she handled corporate communications promoting the company’s world-class resorts. She developed and led company-wide public relations campaigns and also continually garnered top media results in local, regional and national media outlets. Kate also worked with world-class athletes such as Lindsey Vonn and planned multiple high-profile media events across the country.

Kate began her career as an intern and copy editor at Skiing and Freeze Magazines and also worked at Qwest Communications where she managed media relations for the company’s corporate social responsibility programs.  

Kate earned her bachelor’s degree in English and an MBA from the University of Colorado. In her free time you’ll find her chasing her young son and yellow lab. Kate also spent more than 15 years competing in triathlons and now loves to trail run, ride her bike, Alpine and Nordic ski, travel, cook and enjoys being active in the outdoors.
